Esurranty does two things, equally: it explains things properly, and it lets you find out whether the explanation stuck. Learning and trivia are not separate modes here — they are the same habit, run in two directions.

Esurranty is a standalone publication. It is not connected to any school, publisher, or other site, and nothing here is sponsored content.
Free, without a catch
There is no paywall, subscription or account requirement. Every lesson, article, quiz and daily challenge is open to anyone.
Written to be read
Lessons are structured: an introduction, the part that matters, a summary. No infinite scroll of unrelated facts.
Sourced, and honest about it
Library articles list their references. Where a claim is contested or uncertain, we say so rather than picking the tidiest version.
How the site is built
Ten pillars, three levels
Every subject holds lessons at beginner, intermediate and advanced level. Each lesson ends with a short knowledge check, and each subject has a quiz drawn from the same reviewed question bank.
Editorial review before publication
Content is drafted, flagged for review, then published. Items still carrying a review flag are listed in our internal review queue so nothing stays live by accident.
Answers stay on the server
Quiz questions are delivered without their answers. Marking happens on the server, which is why a score means something and why competitive results cannot be edited in a browser.
One challenge, shared by everyone
The daily challenge uses the same ten questions for every visitor on a given New York calendar day and rotates at midnight. It is selected arithmetically from the question bank, so it needs no background jobs to run.
Accessibility and independence
The site is built with semantic headings, keyboard-visible focus styles, text alternatives for images and colour combinations checked for contrast. It is operated independently and intended to be funded by unobtrusive display advertising; advertising is currently switched off, and it will never sit between a question and its answer.
