5 Reasons Cell Phone Insurance is Important!

Thinking of upgrading your iPhone or Smartphone soon?

There are a lot of questions to consider when considering a new device purchase. But, you might not have answered these yet:

“Do I need cell phone insurance?” “Is cell phone insurance worth it?”

As with many types of insurance, cell phone insurance has its critics, those who believe that having coverage on your device in the event of loss, theft or damage is a waste of money.

Here are 5 facts to consider before making your decision:

#1: Replacement phones can be expensive. Deductibles are actually lower than the cost of a new smartphone.

People with cell phone insurance are sometimes surprised to find that they have to pay a deductible when filing a claim. But, just because you have to pay a deductible when filing a claim doesn’t mean insurance coverage is pointless; with cell phone insurance, you’ll still come out way ahead. The average cost of a non-contract smartphone through your cellular plan - that is, one that doesn’t come for some remarkably low price when you sign a multi-year contract - is $599. The average deductible with eSURRANTY is $69.00.

#2: A good protective phone case doesn’t cover everything.

While investing in a protective case for your phone is a smart decision, since it’s all that comes between your cell phone and an unforgiving sidewalk, it doesn’t prevent your new iPhone 7 Plus or Galaxy S8+ from getting lost, stolen, or suffering non-repairable water damage. Approximately 70 million+ smartphones are lost, stolen, or damaged each year, at a rate of 2 phones every second! eSURRANTY, unlike most other companies, covers it all! Loss, theft, accidental damage and mechanical malfunction..

#3: Submitting a claim is very easy.

Contrary to popular belief, filing a cell phone insurance claim is not a pain in the neck with eSURRANTY and you will not be on hold for hours. You can make a claim with eSURRANTY, 24 hours a day, seven days a week online here: https://www.esurranty.com/submit-a-claim/ and receive an email confirmation within a few minutes. Claims agents contact customers via email with detailed instructions on how to complete the claim.

#4: Outside phone repairs are risky.

If your phone can be repaired, you have some options, but device repairs often void the manufacturer warranty on your smartphone. With eSURRANTY, this is not an issue as all devices are repaired by a Manufacturer Certified Repair Center using only Manufacturer parts.

#5: Peace of mind is grand.

Some believe cell phone insurance just isn't worth the cost since ‘you probably won’t ever need it.’ It’s true, you may never lose your phone. You may never drop your phone in the toilet or launch it off the roof of a building. You may also never get into a car accident, but you still need car insurance. The bottom line is, you’re taking a risk without a cell phone insurance policy from eSURRANTY. For less than $85/year, eSURRANTY gives you peace of mind so you can focus on more important things.. Your life!

Why you need insurance instead of a "LifeProof" case!

"LifeProof does not warrant, and is not responsible for, any smart phone or other device made by anyone other than LifeProof." This statement alone means to me that a "LifeProof" case is worthless! If I am buying a case to cover my $700+ phone and it claims to be waterproof etc. but it does not [...]
